Summary
- AVAIA’s Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok and YouTube integrations are in development. No such accounts can be connected yet, and AVAIA holds no data from them.
- Once connection is available, you will be able to stop AVAIA accessing an account by removing AVAIA in that platform’s settings or by disconnecting the account inside AVAIA.
- To delete data, email us a deletion request. Each request is verified and handled by the AVAIA team.
Remove AVAIA from Facebook, Instagram or Threads
Once account connection is available, you will be able to revoke AVAIA’s access at any time from the platform itself. Meta occasionally renames these menus; if a label differs, search the platform’s Help Centre for “apps and websites” or “business integrations”.
- Open Facebook and go to Settings & privacy → Settings.
- Open Business integrations (for Pages) or Apps and websites.
- Select AVAIA and choose Remove, then confirm.
- Open Instagram and go to Settings.
- Open Website permissions → Apps and websites.
- Under Active, select AVAIA and choose Remove.
Threads
- Open Threads and go to Settings.
- Open the section that lists apps and websites connected to your account (website permissions).
- Select AVAIA and remove it.
When access is removed, AVAIA can no longer read from or publish to that account, and we delete the stored access tokens for it. To also delete data AVAIA already holds about that account, send a deletion request (below).
Remove AVAIA from TikTok
Once account connection is available, you will be able to revoke AVAIA’s access at any time in the TikTok app. TikTok occasionally renames these menus; if a label differs, search TikTok’s Help Center for “manage app permissions”.
- Open TikTok, go to Profile and open the menu, then Settings and privacy.
- Open Security & permissions → Apps and services permissions.
- Select AVAIA and choose Remove access.
When access is removed, AVAIA can no longer read from or post to that account, and we delete the stored access tokens for it.
Remove AVAIA from your Google account (YouTube)
Once account connection is available, you will be able to revoke AVAIA’s access to your YouTube channel at any time from your Google account.
- Open Google’s security settings page for third-party access while signed in to the Google account that owns the channel.
- Select AVAIA.
- Choose Delete all connections (or Remove access) and confirm.
When access is removed, AVAIA can no longer upload to that channel, and we delete the related data within 30 days.
Disconnect accounts inside AVAIA
When the integrations launch, an agency administrator will be able to disconnect a Facebook Page, Instagram account, Threads profile, TikTok account or YouTube channel from the agency’s settings in AVAIA. Disconnecting will stop publishing and data retrieval for that account and delete its access tokens.
Request deletion of your data
- Email support@avaia.cc with the subject “AVAIA data deletion request”.
- Include: your name; the email address used with AVAIA (if any); your agency (if any); and what you want deleted — your user account, specific connected accounts, specific content, or an entire agency workspace.
- We verify the request. For a user account, we reply to the email address registered in AVAIA. For agency-wide requests, we confirm with an authorised administrator of that agency. We never ask for your passwords.
- We delete or anonymise the data and confirm by email when it is done, without undue delay and within the period required by applicable law.
What is deleted and what may be kept
- Deleted: your account and profile data, access tokens for connected accounts, data retrieved from connected accounts, and — for agency requests — the agency’s content, media, outputs and brand packs.
- May be kept: records we must keep by law or to resolve disputes or abuse, in which case we keep only what is necessary for as long as required; and copies in backups until those backups expire in their normal rotation.
- Content already published to a third-party platform remains on that platform and must be deleted there by the account owner.
Closing an agency workspace
An authorised administrator can ask us to close the agency’s workspace using the same email process. We confirm the request with the administrator, disconnect all connected accounts, and delete the workspace data as described above. The administrator can request an export of the agency’s content before deletion.
If you appear in an agency’s content
Agencies decide what appears in their stories. If you want content about you removed, please contact the agency concerned. You can also write to us and we will forward your request to the agency and help it respond.
